Bachmann No Longer Birther?
Rep. Michele Bachmann, R-Minn., may not be the newest songstress in the“birther” chorus after all.
Fresh off a round of interviews in which she joined the likes of Donald Trump and Sarah Palin in demanding that President Obama disclose his birth certificate to prove his U.S. citizenship, Bachmann relented Wednesday on Good Morning America when host George Stephanopoulos pulled out a copy of the president’s certificate of live birth.
“Well, then, that should be what settles it,” she said quickly. “I take the president at his word. Again, I would have no problem [showing a birth certificate], and apparently the president wouldn’t either. So introduce that, and we’re done. Let’s move on. End of story.
